Apart from relaxing and enjoying the tranquillity, the location of Poggio Antico offers a great variety of sportive and cultural activities.
Around the year many events are happening in our area, such as the famous "sagra" (feasts) in the villages, Umbria Jazz in Perugia and Orvieto, Trasimeno Blues, several "palio", the recalling of the medieval games, "festa" of the olive oil or chestnuts and wine tastings in the frame work of "Cantine Aperte".
Our area is also very famous for its Etruscan and Roman heritage, shown in the National Etruscan Museum in Chiusi (6 km) or to be discovered by visiting one of the preserved Etruscan tombs.

this is possible at Lamborghini golf course in Panicarola (10 km, 9 holes) or at golf club Perugia (40 km, 18 holes).
Hiking & Nature:
those who like hiking or just enjoy being outdoors can take advantage of excursions to nature paradises such as Val d'Orcia, the Natural Reserve of Monte Rufeno, Monte Amiata, Monte Cetona and Lake Trasimeno or Lake Bolsena.
Horseback riding:
very good opportunities near Chiusi (6 km) and Casalini (15 km).

in Vaiano (3 km).
Mountainbiking:
our area is famous for good tracks and paths for mountain bikers at all levels.
Boatrides and kayaking:
rowboats are available to rent at Lake Chiusi to enjoy a romantic boat trip, especially at sunset.
From several points around Lake Trasimeno it is possible to take a ferry boat to one of the islands.
On Isola Polvese you can also rent kayaks.
Spa:
since the Etruscan and Roman times our area is well known for its healing waters and hot spas in San Casciano dei Bagni, San Filippo, Bagno Vignoni, Chianciano Terme and Montepulciano.
Shopping:
apart from good shopping oportunities in the various towns in the area, there is the famous outlet village "Valdichiana" (35 km), a shopping centre entirely devoted to fashion, where best designer brands are offered at competitive prices.
